Encourt Padel and Wellness Club is aiming for a spring opening at its facility in Ventura Park.
Its website says: “Our club will offer a premium feel with 7 indoor courts and wellness activities. Facilities include padel courts, spa, gym, pilates studio, bar/cafe, plenty of car parking, changing rooms, work from home space, retail shop.”
All seven courts will be indoors, with opening hours listed as being between 6am and 11pm seven days a week.
Both membership and pay and play options will apparently be offered.

The racquet sport – a less physically intense form of tennis with smaller balls and underarm serves – has soared in popularity in recent years and can count David Beckham, Serena Williams and Emmanuel Macron among its proponents.
A stretch of road in Bushey has previously been dubbed the UK’s “padel hotbed” by specialist news outlet The Padel paper.
The honour has been bestowed on a mile-long stretch of Aldenham Road, which will soon be able to boast 19 courts at four different sites.
